2022 Expenses

Contributions to GFA are income tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All giving opportunities represent GFA’s actual ministry efforts to meet the diverse needs of individuals and communities. GFA World seeks to use contributions raised for a particular ministry in furtherance of that charitable objective but retains control and discretion over all donated funds to further its overall charitable objectives, knowing your donation is a sacred trust that requires careful stewardship. Currently, an assessed portion of each donation is used to help cover administrative expenses.

We recognize that, ultimately, God is our provider, and we are accountable to both Him and our donors through whom He provided the funds. Therefore we are committed to upholding the following standards:

  • As a ministry, including the individual members of our staff, subscribing and committing to a written statement of faith upholding the historic biblical Christian doctrine. Faith in Christ, according to the Bible, is the objective of our financial policies and practices.
  • Using finances wisely to accomplish the spiritual and physical transformation of individuals and communities in need, especially those who do know of Christ’s love, especially as seen in the Book of Acts
  • Effective governance being directed by a responsible Board of Directors, according to legal and accounting standards.
  • Subjecting ourselves to an annual and independent financial audits in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. GFA contracts with an auditing firm that is well equipped to assist the ministry in navigating the increasingly complex demands presented by the varying international environments within which we operate.
  • Maintaining an Audit Committee who reviews the annual independent audit, internal financial policies, other financial documentation and reports and makes suggestions to the Board of Directors.
  • Making our financial statements available to those who request them.
  • Maintaining internal polices set by the Board of Directors and management to guide and uphold integrous practices including polices for: Conflict of Interest, Human Resources, Record Retention, Donor Privacy, Information Technology, and Accounting and Financial Standards.
  • Respecting the privacy of our ministry partners, and therefore, do not sell or rent their information to any third-party entities. We go to great lengths to keep secure the names and addresses of all our friends.
  • Maintaining an ongoing process of internal review to grow in our understanding and practice of best practices for Christian charities to ensure the best use of our time, finances and energy to accomplish our mission.

We strive to ensure that all our work is accomplished according to standards that are above reproach.

GFA is committed to honoring the Lord and your generosity by investing the maximum amount possible into programs that benefit people in spiritual and physical need throughout the world in Christ’s name.
