My GFA Story

In 2006, the Lord began to burden Andy’s heart for the people in Asia. By the end of that year, he began to serve with GFA as a volunteer in Pennsylvania. He also began praying about serving on staff with GFA. Years later, God answered Andy’s prayer and called him to join staff in 2011. As Sharon was growing up, she sensed the Lord calling her to be a missionary. She didn’t know what that would look like, but she had a peculiar interest in the country of India. In tenth grade the Lord brought GFA across her path. She was impacted greatly by seeing the effectiveness of partnering with national missionaries and began praying about someday serving with GFA. In 2006, when she finished high school, she did a yearlong internship with GFA, during which God led her to serve with the ministry. Andy and Sharon met at GFA. After a season of prayer and getting council from their leaders, God brought them into a relationship. They were married in 2013.

What I do

Andy serves in the Ministry Partnerships department. He serves as a contact person and helps to connect those who are partnering with GFA in a greater way with the ministry they are involved in. Sharon served in the sponsor services department prior to the Lord bringing kiddos into the family. Now she has the privilege to mother four boys. As they serve together with our partners many communities are being transformed.
